What To Expect From Fenty Beauty By Rihanna

At last, we have a proper product preview from Fenty Beauty by Rihanna, the singer’s much-anticipated make-up line. The singer posted an Instagram photo of the Killawatt Highlight Duo in Ginger Binge and Moscow Mule – a just-shimmery-enough paiirng of rose gold and sunset pink embossed with the FB logo. The line is finally launching in the UK on September 8 2017, via Harvey Nichols, having first been announced back in 2016 when she signed a deal with the Kendo division of LVMH, which also produces Marc Jacobs Beauty and Kat Von D Cosmetics.

Further videos and imagery released via Instagram showcase a focus on diversity, with models Duckie Thot, Slick Woods, Selena Forrest and Halima Aden all starring, and sporting the much-anticipated products.

The first sighting of the line was backstage at the Fenty x Puma by Rihanna spring/summer 2016 show – at which a holographic lip product from the collection was debuted. But apart from these carefully-timed teasers, Rihanna has kept uncharacteristically quiet. However, we’re confident we have a fairly good idea of what the new range will entail, regardless. See five things we expect from her make-up line here.

5At Least One Great Red Lipstick

One thing to remember is that this isn’t Rihanna’s first foray into make-up – the singer created a series of products with MAC back in 2013 and 2014. The first product she created was RiRi Woo, a lipstick inspired by MAC’s classic red Ruby Woo. “Working with MAC, it’s difficult to get a red lipstick that beats Ruby Woo,” she told WWD at the time. Well, Rihanna, we challenge you to create one. Get set, go.
